Who would have thought that we’d actually do two shows in two days? We’ve historically had a hard time doing two shows in two weeks! Here we are though, with back-to-back shows. We recorded Episode #25 yesterday with special guest David Jacobs, and we had a great time. Then, this morning, Twitter and a few other social networking sites get hit with a DDoS attack. Joe pinged me on IM and said that he had original Geek Dad Sam Harrelson on the phone and they wanted to do a Geek Dads episode dedicated to the Twitter outage.
The timing couldn’t have been worse because my wife had just left for an appointment, leaving me with the two kids – one of whom was in the middle of lunch, the other needing to be brought to the table for lunch. Still, doing a current events episode was too good to pass up, so I got the kids squared away as quickly as possible (Ian just got put in his high chair with some rice cereal to play with, some of which went into his mouth, I think). We did a great 45 minutes and called it Episode #26 – The Day Twitter Died. Give it a listen and let us know if you agree or disagree with our assessment of the social media scene!
