Review Builders

This is a blogging tool written by me with some early help from Jen Goode. I created it because I was looking for a way to make my blogging life easier when it came to promoting items. I wanted a way to easily format a review of an item, with affiliate links built-in. It started with a review builder for Imagekind.com in 2007, and has been growing to include more services ever since. The Review Builders homepage has a list of supported merchants.

Users of the Review Builders system use a button that sits in their browser’s toolbar. When they see a product they’d like to write a review about, they simply press the button and are taken to a page with all the relevant information about the product pre-filled. All they need to do is enter their review or commentary into the text boxes provided and hit the Generate button on the page. The tool will give the user a fully formatted chunk of HTML that is ready to be inserted into a blog entry or web page, complete with properly formatted affiliate links.

Several users have already told me that they are making affiliate sales with Review Builders, and I’ve even received some generous donations.
